Games from a river town.

Garden Street Games builds small, sharp, playable things — most of them set on a street grid you can walk in about nine minutes, on the widest water in the Mississippi. Everything below runs in your browser.

One street,
a lot of
material.

Garden Street is a real street in Lake City, Minnesota — a town of a few thousand people wedged between the bluffs and Lake Pepin, the spot where the Mississippi goes wide enough to look like an ocean and where, in 1922, a teenager strapped on two boards and invented waterskiing.

It is also where I grew up. The studio takes its name from that address because most of what gets made here starts in the same place: the actual plat map of the city, and the kind of childhood memory that turns out, in hindsight, to have been a game mechanic the whole time.

Everything is built small and released playable in the browser — no launcher, no install, no account. Click it and it runs.
